Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
1
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation to talk together about your specific situation and needs, give you a sense of how I work, and address any initial questions you may have. Deciding to work together should be based in part by how comfortable you feel with me, and whether you feel like I understand you and your needs.
If you'd like to move forward after we talk by phone, we'll then meet for an initial 50-minute session. At our first session, we'll talk more in depth about you, your situation, your hopes for therapy, and begin to explore some steps forward.
You can contact me HERE.
Do we meet in person or on-line?
2
Either or both! We can meet in-person at my office in Santa Fe, New Mexico, or via secure video from anywhere in New Mexico or California. My office is ADA-compliant with gender-neutral single stall bathrooms. If you have any questions about how remote/virtual sessions work, or how to ensure a secure and connected experience, I’m happy to talk with you more.
What are your fees?
3
For 50 minute sessions:
$250 for Individual Therapy
$300 for Couple/Relationship Therapy
$215 for Supervision/Consultation
I also offer reduced fee/sliding scale spots for clients in New Mexico — please ask about these if my full fee is not doable for you.
Do you accept insurance?
4
While I do not bill insurance directly, I can provide detailed receipts which you may use for possible reimbursement from your insurance and/or your Health Savings Account. It will be your responsibility to first confirm that your insurance carrier allows for a reimbursement option. There are now federal protections for clients—the “No Surprises Act”—regarding charges for Out of Network Services. Please see more information here.
