supporting therapists to deepen insight and understanding, while developing their own unique voice and practice

I work with both new and experienced therapists, and have been providing supervision and consultation for over a dozen years in a variety of settings. I can provide consultation using a Psychodynamic, Relational, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and/or eclectic lens.

I am a Certified Therapist and Supervisor in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with Couples and Individuals, and provide supervision for therapists seeking to deepen their knowledge of EFT, better apply EFT outside cis-/hetero-/white contexts, and work towards EFT certification. I hope to make the EFT model accessible and relevant to you as a unique therapist, as well as to your clients. I regularly assist in the Beyond Core Skills course with Sarah Ackerman, LMFT, and Jamie Bachman, LCSW, facilitate monthly EFT Supervision groups, particpate in various EFT consultation groups, and work to stay sharp in new developments and approaches within the EFT model.

I attended two years of training at the The Psychotherapy Institute Supervision Study Program which focuses on a Relational/Psychodynamic Model, and integrate this approach into much of my work. I also welcome working with therapists who utilize different approaches in their own practice.

My main focus is to help you to be curious about your clients, your work, and your own experience in the room. I encourage you to bring in the ways you feel competent, as well as the ways you feel stuck, insecure, or lost. I am interested in identifying and exploring the impact of power, privilege, and difference in both your clinical work and in our consultative relationship, and welcome exploration of racial, class, and gender dynamics that impact relationships.

CONSULTATION OPTIONS

  • Supervision/consultation meetings geared specifically towards you, your growing edge, your clients, and your questions. Either weekly, monthly, or as needed. Focus can be on EFT, psychodynamic, or eclectic.

  • EFT Supervision meetings for you and another EFT Therapist colleague. This is a great way to learn through sharing your own work, as well a observing that of another therapist. Many therapists choose to engage in this option with a friend or colleague they’ve met in EFT training.

  • I currently co-facilitate a few EFT Supervision groups. This format gives you the chance to present your own work, get feedback and guidance from two Certified EFT Supervisors, observe and learn from other EFT Therapists, and build community.
