supervision groups

These are Online Monthly Supervision Groups for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), develop confidence, share their work and questions in a supportive environment, and connect with other EFT Therapists. We provide feedback and guidance based on each therapist’s skill level and needs. Focus is on assessment, enactments, and EFT Tango, as well as issues related to sex and intimacy, self of therapist, and other topics and questions that arise.

The group is for any therapist studying and practicing EFT, and folks who are interested in integrating sex therapy, LGBTQ+ identities, and discussions of difference, power, and privilege into their EFT may find this group especially useful.

Group is limited to six participants. $100/month, with an initial six month commitment requirement. Participants are required to have completed EFT Externship and currently be working with couples.

TWO GROUPS:

1) SECOND Thursday of each month, 10:00 to 11:45 AM Mountain Time

2) FOURTH Thursday of each month, 10:00 to 11:45 AM Mountain Time

GROUP SUPERVISORS:

Group is co-led by EFT Certified Supervisors Adam Eigner-Herrera, PhD and Marcy Reda, LCSW, who each maintain practices in San Francisco Bay Area and Northern New Mexico. I began my psychotherapy career over 20 years ago, primarily working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I was thrilled to discover EFT in 2016. EFT’s non-shaming, attachment-based, and experientially-focused modality is a powerful approach for couples and individuals alike. I include issues of difference, power, and privilege in my work with both clients and supervisees, as these issues so often impact our sense of safety in the world and in our relationships.

Having come into psychology from the trauma/family violence direction 30 years ago, early on I got interested in what makes for positive relationships, and began studying couples communication and sex therapy. EFT was the link that deepened and made more effective both couples and sex therapy in creating more safety to work in these intimate areas. My practice now focuses on relationships, sexuality, diversity and supervision.
